End of Life Pet Care
A difficult decision.
In-Clinic and In-Home Options Available
When a pet’s quality of life declines and they begin experiencing more bad days than good, you may be faced with the difficult decision of whether euthanasia is the most compassionate choice.
Just as we’re here to care for your pet in their earliest days, we’re also here to support you through their final moments. Our team will discuss all available treatment and comfort care options with you, ensuring you have the information you need to make the best decision for your pet and family. We understand how difficult this time can be and promise to guide you with empathy, respect, and care every step of the way.
Should you decide that euthanasia is the right choice, we offer both in-clinic and in-home end-of-life care services.
In-Clinic Euthanasia
Our hospital provides a quiet, private space where you can be with your pet during their final moments. Our veterinarians will walk you through the process, answer any questions you may have, and ensure your pet is laid to rest peacefully and without pain.
In-Home End-of-Life Care
Our in-home end-of-life care provides a calm, private alternative to clinic visits for pets nearing the end of life. These visits are performed by a licensed veterinarian who will prioritize your pet’s comfort, respect your wishes, and guide you through each step with empathy and clear information.
This service is ideal for families who want their pet to pass peacefully at home rather than at the clinic, or for pets with mobility, stress, or medical issues that make travel painful or traumatic.
To schedule or to speak with a veterinarian about in-home end-of-life care, please call our office at (330) 893-2057. Appointments are available daily. We’re here to support you and your pet with compassion and dignity.
During the visit, our veterinarians focus on calming practices and gentle handling to ensure your pet’s comfort throughout the process. We can assist with aftercare choices and offer a clay paw print upon request, especially meaningful for families choosing home burial. Please note that a death certificate is not provided.
Families are encouraged to choose a comfortable, quiet space in their home or yard where their pet feels most at ease. We recommend organizing and finalizing all aftercare decisions ahead of time and having a supportive family member or friend present if desired.
Your veterinarian will begin by reviewing your aftercare decisions and ensuring you feel informed and prepared. The process will then proceed gently and respectfully, allowing your pet to pass peacefully in the comfort of home. You are welcome to spend as much time as you need with your pet afterward.

Losing a beloved companion can be as painful as losing any family member. Everyone grieves differently, but some gentle reminders include:-

If you need additional help, you may find comfort in these resources:
We strive to create an experience that is calm, private, and deeply respectful for both pets and their families. Performing end-of-life care at home allows families to say goodbye in a familiar, comfortable setting — whether surrounded by loved ones or simply in the quiet presence of that one special person.
Even though we take great care to make clinic visits fear-free, there’s no substitute for a pet being on their favorite bed or under their favorite tree. In-home care provides the dignity, comfort, and peace every pet deserves.
If you have questions or would like to learn more about our in-clinic or in-home end-of-life care options, please call us at (330) 893-2057. Our team is here to help you and your pet find peace and comfort during this time.
